Eight steps from requirements to renewal

Follow the order below. Each button opens the named official or authorized service in a new tab.

  1. Confirm requirements

Begin with the state regulator. Requirements can change, so confirm the current path before paying a provider.

  2. Choose approved education

Use the NJDOBI provider list. HonorVale offers supplemental study support; PSI administers the exam. Neither should be represented as your approved education provider.

  3. Prepare and review exam rules

Use HonorVale lessons and practice tools for study support, then read the current PSI candidate bulletin for the official outline and procedures.

  4. Schedule the official exam

When eligible and ready, use PSI exam services. PSI is the testing provider, not the licensing authority.

  5. Complete fingerprinting

Read the NJDOBI instructions first, then use the named vendor to schedule. Do not enter personal or payment information on HonorVale.

  6. Submit the application

Review New Jersey eligibility and submit through NIPR. HonorVale does not collect identity documents, Social Security numbers, fees, or application credentials.

  7. Verify license issuance

Use the NJDOBI license search. An exam pass or application receipt does not by itself confirm that a license has been issued.

  8. Maintain the license

Check current continuing-education and renewal rules with NJDOBI, then use the linked record service as needed.
